We had so much fun playing this Porchfest! Thank you so much to all of you who came out. This was our second year performing on Tioga St. and we hope to do it again next year. This year was special to us because we were able to collaborate with other great musicians in our area. Matt played a number of classical guitar pieces with Bill Hurley (on violin), and our friend Isaac Sharp, who recently moved to town, performed some amazing arrangements on the same porch.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with Porchfest – you’ve got to check it out. Bands play on their own or a friend’s porch. They schedule the musicians in one of four time slots and then provide maps, so everyone can walk or bike around town catching all the great music. And there is a lot of great music! Over 100 bands are playing this year, with music ranging from classical to roots rock to country to pop to reggae to punk rock and from Appalachian to Brazilian to Irish to Swedish to Zimbabwean.
